What was once a run-down 40-acre citrus block ridden with disease is now an evolving oasis of 16+ years forged by the love and labor of owners Carl Frost and Diane Cordeau. Kai-Kai Farm is home to over 50 varieties of produce, 30 of which are varieties of lettuces, prompting Diane to be crowned "The Lettuce Queen".

David De Souza visited Kai Kai Farm as a two part project, to show the relationship between Oceano Kitchen and the farm where they get their produce from. Photographing Diane in her element was truly a magnificent experience and we believe we captured her essence during our time together.
